This team of men, women, and students help Kentucky Christians by building, remodeling, and repairing their churches to facilitate greater ministry Opportunities. These projects help defray the cost of construction and enable valuable resources to be directed toward other ministries. This is a summer project for adults and teens.

DIVINE DELIVERIES
Divine Deliveries started like many projects at BBC; there was a need at Wayside Mission, Oneida Baptist Institute and Mud Creek. This project did not have a name. It was just a few Christians answering a call to help those in need. After several years and several thousand deliveries of pancakes, 55 gallon drums of syrup, apple pies, picante sauce, chocolate syrup, clothing, appliances and anything else that may be needed the BBC effort became known as Divine Deliveries. Each year food is delivered to several thousand people in areas of rural Kentucky and adjoining states. Toys are delivered to those who may otherwise not have a Christmas. Many non-profit organizations plan on Divine Deliveries making frequent stops. There are many people who are involved with this project. The list could go on and on when it comes to what Divine Deliveries does but it would sound like bragging. It is all in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. If you would like to get involved or just want to know more please email Arnold Collins.

WMU
Our WMU guide to action is “We are laborers together with GOD … “
I Corinthians 3:9.
The WMU groups of Ballardsville Baptist Church concentrate on the importance of missions to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. The groups pray for and give to missionaries around the world. The women focus on a Christ-centered life while growing spiritually toward a mission-minded lifestyle. Through these groups, the women are encouraged to remember the missionaries that are working in the United States and abroad. The WMU is proud of the long tradition of serving not only the local community but also making a difference throughout the state and the entire world.
The WMU sponsors many projects each year. RoseHaven, a local center for women in crisis, is one of our projects. We collect funds and various supplies to help keep the center running. This allows us to reach out to troubled women in the area. Each year, the WMU groups also participate in the Prison Stocking Ministry. Through this ministry, we make Christmas stocking for the children of prison inmates. We fill them with Christmas goodies and surprises that we can share with the children. In addition to RoseHaven and the stocking ministry, the WMU has a toy drive for the children of Mud Creek at Christmas time. Mud Creek is a poverty stricken area in Eastern Kentucky and we are able to sponsor a toy drive to collect toys to deliver to the children. Also, the women in the WMU participate in the Honduras mission trips by making children’s clothing, blankets for the Hondurans to keep warm, and supporting the mission team through prayer and support.
We welcome all women to join our WMU groups. We have two groups that meet each month. One group meets on the 1st Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. and the second group meets on the 3rd Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. Through the WMU groups at Ballardsville Baptist Church, you can be involved in all aspects of missions and women’s ministries.
